Atlanta Business Chronicle reported last month that Electronic Arts is considering Savannah as a site that could bring up to 300 jobs for game development focused on product testing.
Savannah College of Art & Design has a game development program & since 2007, has had a relationship with Electronic Arts to teach professional production practices for video games.
Besides the talent being developed here, another draw is tax incentives. The General Assembly passed incentives last year that gave up to 30 percent in entertainment industry tax credits which includes the gaming industry.
The Creative Coast Alliance has been a major factor in the push for technology based firms in our area. If EA did make a home here, they would not be alone. Fellow technology based firm Music Intelligence Solutions, Inc has their headquarters on Broughton Street.
